Yes to the Station, NO to the Location.
Brentwood veterans and their supporters turned out in force to voice their opposition to the proposed location of Fire Station 94. During the recent City Council meeting, veterans from multiple organizations stood in solidarity, making their presence known both by speaking during public comments and by simply wearing their uniforms as a show of unity.

Representatives from the Marine Corps League, VFW, American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, Legion Riders, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Trilogy at the Vineyards Veterans Association all participated, demonstrating the widespread concern over this issue.
The Fire District’s Response: Moving Fast Justifies Everything?
During the meeting, the Deputy Fire Chief addressed the concerns, and his remarks boiled down to two key points:
1️⃣ "We’ve already spent money."
2️⃣ "We’re moving as fast as we can."
So, because money has already been spent and the process is moving quickly, we are just supposed to accept it—even if it means violating the land’s original intended use? Now, veterans are painted as the bad guys for insisting that the County and Fire District follow the law, do what’s right for Brentwood, and honor the Veterans Memorial property?

The Fight Continues
Veterans and supporters will continue to show up and demand that the County do what is right for Brentwood and its veterans. This isn’t about opposing a fire station—it’s about making sure it’s placed in the right location and that taxpayer-funded land is used for its intended purpose.
Stay informed, stay engaged, and let’s keep fighting for what’s right!
