Brentwood United Veterans Leads America 250 Parade with Pride

As our nation celebrates America's 250th anniversary, the Brentwood community came together to honor the ideals of freedom, service, and sacrifice that have shaped our country for two and a half centuries.

It was our privilege for the Brentwood United Veterans Color Guard to lead the America 250 Brentwood parade. Marching proudly behind the Colors were veterans and members of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Marine Corps League, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion. Following the marching veterans came the Legion Riders on their motorcycles and a convoy of historic and military Jeeps driven by veterans, reminding everyone of the generations of Americans who have answered the call to serve.

This parade was more than a celebration of our nation's birthday. It was a tribute to every man and woman who has worn the uniform of the United States, from the earliest days of our Republic to those serving today. We remember those who came home, those who never did, and the families who stood beside them through every generation.

One of the most moving moments came as we marched through the streets of Brentwood. The cheers from the crowd, the waving flags, the smiles, and the applause reminded every veteran that their service has not been forgotten. You could feel the appreciation and respect from our community. Brentwood truly loves its veterans, and our veterans felt that love in return.

On this historic 250th anniversary of the United States, we celebrate not only our nation's past but also the enduring values that continue to unite us: liberty, courage, duty, and hope. May we always remember those who defended those freedoms and inspire future generations to cherish and protect them.

To everyone who came out to celebrate with us, waved a flag, applauded a veteran, or simply took a moment to say "thank you," we are deeply grateful.
