Hello,

Thank you for your email. I will be reaching out to Diane Burgis and see what she says about the tax code.

Unfortunately, I will be at our city council meeting tomorrow night and will not be able to attend your community meeting.

Take care,

Jovita

BVMB Response

Council Member Mendoza,

On behalf of the board, I would like to extend our heartfelt apologies for the scheduling conflict that occurred with our community meeting concerning the fire station. We deeply regret any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused.

The decision to hold our meeting on a specific date was not made lightly. We understand the importance of accommodating stakeholders and ensuring that our gatherings do not disrupt the regular activities at the hall. Unfortunately, due to a limited availability of open evenings, we were left with only one suitable option.

It has come to our attention that this date coincided with a City Council meeting, an oversight on our part. We were unaware of this conflicting schedule, and for that, we sincerely apologize. We understand that this situation may have inconvenienced many of our valued stakeholders.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to East County Veterans. We look forward to seeing you at future meetings, where we will make every effort to ensure a more convenient and harmonious scheduling arrangement.

Respectfully,

Donald E. Hester

Board Member and Acting Secretary
