Brentwood City Council Honors Vietnam Veterans

On March 11, 2025, the Brentwood City Council presented a Proclamation declaring March 29, 2025, Vietnam War Veterans Day in recognition of the service and sacrifice of those who served during the Vietnam War. Vietnam veterans from the American Legion, VFW, and Marine Corps League were present to accept the proclamation. We are deeply humbled by this recognition and grateful for the City’s commitment to honoring those who served.

In addition to the proclamation, during the public comment period, veterans once again spoke out about Fire Station 94 and the ongoing issues with the County’s handling of the veterans' memorial property. The discussion highlighted concerns over the County’s failure to follow the original intent of the property’s funding and its impact on the veterans’ community.

Below is the video of the City Council meeting, along with the letter sent to Supervisor Burgis outlining our concerns. We encourage everyone to stay informed and engaged as we continue to fight for the rightful preservation of this historic veterans' memorial property.
